What has changed in LabCard.

LabCard is built after hours, so it moves unevenly. But when something does change, it's worth noting. Below you'll find a list of changes in each version of the app.

1. 1.1.0

   13 September 2026 latest
   • new Add seasonal vaccinations. Flu and COVID-19: pick the vaccine from this season's list and three steps later it is a record. Lists for the EU, the UK, the US and Canada. Add a vaccination.
   • new Reading the .csv export from the Diagnostyka patient portal. More accurate and faster than a PDF, because there is no OCR involved.
   • new Reading results from the Polish patient portal. The .html file from pacjent.gov.pl — also more accurate and faster, because there is no OCR involved.
   • new Qualitative results for viral PCR. CMV DNA and BKV DNA now have a “descriptive” unit option.
   • new BKV DNA in two specimens — serum/plasma and whole blood (EDTA). The specimen is part of the LOINC code, so these are two separate entries.
   • new Vitamin D3 (25-OH-D3) separately from the D2+D3 total, which stays under “Vitamin D”.
   • new Better reading of reports from unrecognized labs. When OCR does not recognize the lab from the report header, the report is read with each known layout in turn and the best reading goes to the table.
   • new Results table layout. A gear next to “+” lets you turn off grouping by category and subcategory, so the order matches the printout.
   • fix The urine ACR now reaches the card under the generic code (9318-7). The previous code also asserted a measurement method that reports do not state. If you already have older ACR entries in Apple Health, new ones will start a separate chart.
   • fix A new batch clears the table. Loading another file or pasting an LLM response starts from scratch, so results from different batches no longer end up mixed in one card.
   • fix Fixes to how OCR reads results and reference ranges from ALAB and Luxmed (PL).
   • fix Collection date on US and UK printouts. Month/day dates (US), dates with a month name (“15-Mar-2025”, “Mar 15, 2025”) and English collection-date labels are now recognized.
   • fix The thousands/µL and millions/µL units in a blood count now reach the card as 10*9/L and 10*12/L, even when OCR garbles “µL”.
   • fix US lab printouts (Quest, LabCorp). A written-out reference limit (“> OR = 40”) is no longer read as the result, and a unit printed after the reference range now reaches the card instead of the dictionary default.
   • fix The unit switcher in row editing is now below the unit field and no longer throws the fields out of line.
   • fix The browser now suggests the full name in the patient Full name field, not just the first name.

2. 1.0.3

   10 September 2026
   • new Qualitative results (“Negative”, “Positive”, “Equivocal”) finally make it into the card.
   • new New category “Serology & autoantibodies”: HBsAg, anti-HBc, anti-HAV, anti-HCV, ANA and anti-dsDNA. Anti-HBs joined them, moving over from “Other”.
   • new New category “Transplant & immunosuppression”: tacrolimus, mycophenolate, and CMV and BK viral load.
   • new The urine protein/creatinine ratio (UPCR) — in “Urine tests”, next to the ACR.
   • new Staples of US lab reports: blood urea nitrogen (BUN), the BUN/creatinine ratio and the nucleated RBC percentage.
   • fix The Sex picked above the table now reaches the card.
   • fix US-style report rows — “Absolute neutrophil count”, “Neutrophil percentage”, BUN, iron saturation — are now matched to the right LOINC codes.

3. 1.0.2

   31 August 2026
   • new Initial support for reading reports from Luxmed (PL) and Medicover (PL).
   • new Arsenic, cadmium and lead in blood — a new “Heavy metals” category.
   • new New tests: bicarbonate (total CO₂), anion gap, globulin and the A/G ratio, cholesterol/HDL ratio, methylmalonic acid, and serum protein electrophoresis fractions — in g/dL or as a percentage.
   • fix The AI assistant paste-in accepts bounded results (“>60”, “<0.5”) and one-sided reference ranges, just like OCR.
   • fix The skipped-rows list works for the AI assistant paste-in too.
   • fix Many smaller fixes to how OCR reads characters, reference ranges and units.
   • fix ALT and AST are now recognised by their full names (“Alanine aminotransferase ALT”), not only by the abbreviation at the start of the line. The same names work in the manual entry search.
   • fix Manual entry no longer shows Polish hints in the reference range fields on the English site.

4. 1.0.1

   25 August 2026
   • change Fonts and libraries are no longer fetched from third-party servers — they are served from our own hosting for maximized privacy. What still loads from elsewhere: the cookieless page-view counter from Cloudflare, and the OCR models.
   • change Results read from a file now follow the order of the printout, not the category tree.
   • change Adding another result manually no longer scrolls the page down to the table — a confirmation appears next to the button instead.
   • new LabCard can be added to the iPhone Home Screen — it then opens full screen, like a regular app, with its own icon. On iOS a short how-to appears under the animation on the home page.
   • new A list of lines skipped during reading — to compare with the original and add by hand.
   • new The test list for manual entry now shows which tests are already in the card.
   • new Selenium and iodine joined the trace elements — in µg/L or µmol/L.
   • new FAQ: what to do when Apple Health says “Can’t add this data” — the card has to be opened from the phone’s storage, not straight from the cloud.
   • new You can now support the project with whatever amount you like.
   • fix The “no decimal point” warning no longer fires on correct readings (0.19 against a 0.05–0.5 range).
